VIOLET CROWN BOARD MEMBERS


DAVID COMER - PRESIDENT

  • Voting member.
  • Responsible for the overall running of the club and long term strategic direction (men’s and women’s, junior's race teams, sponsors, coaches, members)
  • Chair Board meetings.
  • Reserve venue.
  • Send out club events invite and Board agenda.
  • Act as head representative of the club.
  • Moderate all club issues that arise.
  • Work with Treasurer on annual budget.



WESTON GIUNTA - PAST PRESIDENT

  • Voting member.
  • Conduct on-boarding training for new Board members during the February Board meeting.
  • Answer emails from members and the general public.
  • Work with Membership Administrator to reconcile email group list in December after membership renewal deadline.
  • Provide input on all Board agenda items.



KIRA McCOOL - SECRETARY

  • Voting Member.
  • Take notes during meeting and send out to Board for review. Save all notes on club’s Google drive for resource retention.
  • Responsible for administration of club documents, photos, and spreadsheets.
  • Provide input on Board discussions.



DAVID SANDVIG - TREASURER

  • Voting member.
  • Monitor club’s annual budget.
  • Review team’s budget and approve budget for all current and future projects.
  • Provide budget forecast to the Board bi-annually (February and August).
  • Review and process all reimbursement requests
  • Provide input on all Board agenda items.
  • Renew any club's website, Paypal, USAC membership etc.



URSULA HAMMES - CLOTHIER

  • Non-voting member.
  • Work with Castelli to coordinate clothing order for the club..
  • Organize kit fitting sessions for the club.
  • Pick up and return sample kits from Castelli.
  • Act as liaison between kit designer and Castelli.
  • Coordinate with Sponsors-Liaison for logos placement.
  • Manage club’s online merchandise store.
  • Coordinate delivery of club merchandise from the online store.
  • Manage bike box rentals.
  • Coordinate other club’s merchandise sale.
  • Provide input on Board discussions.
  • Mail online purchases.



JULIE ENGLER - WOMEN’S TEAM CAPTAIN

  • Non-voting member.
  • Acts as liaison between the race team and the Board.
  • Update Board on all team activities.
  • Post team’s race results and photos to social media. 
  • Update Treasurer on team’s budget forecast and actual costs every 3 months.
  • Provide team budget request at the beginning of October to the Board for approval.
  • Provide input on Board discussions.


PAUL FRANCO & BRYCE BILLING - MEN’S TEAM CAPTAINS

  • Non-voting member.
  • Acts as liaison between the race team and the Board.
  • Update Board on all team activities.
  • Post team’s race results and photos to social media. 
  • Update Treasurer on team’s budget forecast and actual costs every 3 months.
  • Provide team budget request at the beginning of October to the Board for approval. 
  • Provide input on Board discussions.



PATRICIA ROSEN - MEMBERSHIP ADMINISTRATOR

  • Non-voting member.
  • Is not required to sit at Board meetings.
  • Monitor new memberships and add new member’s email to the members’ email lister.
  • Manage other email groups and add emails as requested.
  • Work with Past-President to reconcile email group list in December after membership renewal deadline.



PAT KELLY - SPONSOR-LIAISON

  • Non-voting member.
  • Act as liaison between sponsors and club.
  • Manage club’s sponsors.
  • Provide logo to kit designer and website designer.
  • Monitor sponsors’ social media activities and re-post to club.
  • Share any discounts from sponsors to club.
  • Seek potential new club sponsors.
  • Renew sponsors agreement with returning sponsors.
  • Keep Board up to date on any concerns sponsors have regarding the club’s activities.
  • Procure product purchase for the race teams and club.
  • Provide input on Board discussions and budget.
  • Send out quarterly newsletter to sponsors, updating club activities, team/ juniors results, etc.



EVENTS COORDINATOR

  • Non-voting member.
  • Promote club’s events, which includes the 4th of July ride, Webberville and/or other future races.
  • Promote club and sponsors' event
  • Other events may arise during the year that the Board/ club want to participate in.
  • Provide input on Board discussions.

CURRENTLY VACANT


PRESIDENT-ELECT

  • Voting member.
  • Responsible for running monthly club meeting.
  • Order pizza and make sure drinks are available.
  • Coordinate presenters.
  • Reserve venue.
  • Send out Board meeting agenda to Board members.
  • Conduct Board meeting if President is unavailable.
  • Provide input on all Board agenda items.
  • Acts as the President if the President is incapacitated.
